General Clothing Advice
- Solid colours work best, please avoid large patterns, logos, checks or stripes.
- Keep clothing consistent by dressing everyone in the same style, i.e. do not mix casual and formal clothing in the portraits.
- Best to go for colours that compliment each other, it's much more pleasing to the eyes and looks great in a finished wall portrait.
- Light clothing or pastels look great against both our white and darker background and darker colours against our darker background.
- As for jewellery, avoid large distracting accessories, small ones will compliment the face better and will not date.
- Generally, when selecting clothes think about tones and textures rather than colours.
A little planning can make for a super successful and timeless family portrait session.
